KING'S X, EXTREME To Team Up For 'Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp' Tour

May 1, 2008

KING'S X frontman Doug Pinnick revealed during an interview with the nationally syndicated rock radio show "The Tour Bus" (web site) that his band will team up with the reunited hard rockers EXTREME for a U.S. tour this summer. Although details are sketchy at the moment, it appears that the Live Nation-produced trek will go out under the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp banner and will include a national competiton whereby "different bands are gonna come and try out" by jamming with an all-star lineup of musicians during the day "and whoever the best band is of the day, they get to open for us and EXTREME," according to Doug. "And they're gonna video it the guy who did 'Rock Star: Supernova', the thing Tommy Lee was in he's videoing it, and I guess they're gonna try and turn it into a show."

The following musicians have reportedly signed on to appear on the tour as part of the "all-star" lineup that will be jamming with the competing artists:

Gilby Clarke (GUNS N' ROSES)
Earl Slick (DAVID BOWIE, JOHN LENNON)
Chris Slade (AC/DC, THE FIRM)
Mark Slaughter (SLAUGHTER)
Elliot Easton (THE CARS)
Dave Ellefson (MEGADETH)
Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH)
Mark Hudson (songwriter/producer, AEROSMITH)
Kip Winger (WINGER)

All participants and their bands will be evaluated by the above-listed touring rock stars over the course of the trek and the one lucky band will be awarded an all-expense paid trip to the London Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp in November 2008.
